Who we are

This Privacy Policy describes how FranchiSEO, LLC (”FranchiSEO,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, shares, retains, and deletes information when you use the Local Search Ads Genius application (”LSA Genius” or the “App”).

  • Scope. This policy applies only to LSA Genius and to data obtained through Google OAuth and the Google Ads API when you connect your Google account to the App. Our website privacy policy governs browsing data and marketing activities on franchise-seo.com and other FranchiSEO web properties. Where this policy differs from our website policy, this policy controls for Google user data and other data processed by the App.

Summary 

  • We request the Google OAuth scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/adwords to connect your Google Ads account so LSA Genius can display local services ad performance and (if you choose) help you manage campaigns.

  • We do not use Google user data for advertising or remarketing, and we do not sell Google user data.

  • We keep data only as long as needed to provide the App, and we publish specific retention timelines below.

  • You can revoke our access in your Google Account at any time and/or delete your data from LSA Genius. We then delete data from active systems within 30 days and purge backups within 90 days.

Data we collect via Google OAuth / Google Ads API

When you sign in with Google and grant the App permission, LSA Genius may access the following categories of Google user data:

  1. Identity and account details

    • Google account name and email address

    • Google Ads customer/account identifiers that you select during OAuth

     

  2. Google Ads data (read operations to power features you use)

    • Account-level settings and status (e.g., time zone, currency)

    • Campaigns, ad groups, assets, budgets, keywords, and related configuration

    • Reporting/metrics (e.g., impressions, clicks, spend, leads, conversions)

     

  3. Optional write operations (only when you choose to perform an action in-app)

    • Creating or updating campaigns, ad groups, budgets, bids, or ads

    We request only the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/adwords scope because Google Ads provides a single OAuth scope for Ads functionality. We do not request restricted scopes (e.g., Gmail, Drive, Fit).

Data we collect from you within LSA Genius (non‑Google sources)

  • Account profile and preferences you provide (e.g., company name, role)

  • Workspace members you invite and their roles

  • Support requests and feedback

  • Technical diagnostics (e.g., error logs, device/browser metadata) needed to operate and secure the App

Important distinction. Any analytics or cookies on our marketing website do not apply to Google user data obtained via OAuth. Google user data is handled strictly as described in this policy and is never used for advertising or remarketing.

How we use data

We use your data to:

  • Authenticate you and connect the App to the Google Ads accounts you select

  • Display Google Ads performance and local services ad insights in dashboards and reports

  • Facilitate actions you choose to take (e.g., create/update campaigns, budgets)

  • Provide customer support and communicate about account updates

  • Secure, maintain, and improve the App (including troubleshooting, preventing abuse, and measuring service reliability)

Prohibited uses. We do not use Google user data for independently targeted advertising or remarketing, do not sell it, and do not transfer it except to service providers acting on our behalf or as required by law. Our use complies with Google’s API Services User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements.

Lawful bases (where applicable, e.g., GDPR/UK GDPR)

  • Performance of a contract (to provide the App you requested)

  • Legitimate interests (to secure and improve the App)

  • Consent (where required by law for specific processing)

Data retention schedules

We retain data only for as long as necessary to provide LSA Genius or as required by law. Specific timelines:

  • OAuth access/refresh tokens: retained while your Google account remains connected; deleted within 24 hours after disconnection or revocation.

  • Identity & account identifiers (name, email, Ads customer IDs): retained while your LSA Genius account is active; deleted within 30 days after account deletion.

  • Google Ads configuration and metrics cached for reporting: retained up to 12 months to power reports and historical comparisons, unless you delete earlier.

  • System logs and security/audit records: retained up to 13 months unless a longer period is required for security or legal obligations.

  • Backups: immutable backups may persist up to 90 days after deletion from active systems, after which they are purged.

 

We will not retain Google user data longer than needed to provide the App or as required/permitted by law.

Data Deletion

You may request deletion at any time by either:

  1. Using “Delete My Account” in App settings, or

  2. Emailing hello@franchise-seo.com from your account email.

Upon a verified request or account deletion:

  • We delete Google user data and other personal data from active systems within 30 days.

  • We purge remaining copies from backups within 90 days.

  • If deletion cannot be completed for legal, security, or technical reasons, we will explain the basis and minimize further processing.

You may also delete or modify specific items (e.g., connections, workspaces) from within the App.

Revoking Google access

You may revoke LSA Genius’s access to your Google Account at any time in Google Account → Security → Third‑party access. After revocation:

  • We can no longer access your Google data.

  • Stored tokens are deleted within 24 hours.

  • Any remaining Google user data follows the Data deletion timelines above.

Sharing and transfers

We do not sell Google user data. We share data only with:

  • Service providers that host, store, or process data for us (e.g., cloud infrastructure, error monitoring, customer support), under contracts that require confidentiality and security consistent with this policy; and

  • Authorities or third parties when required to comply with law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security.

If we engage a new service provider that materially changes how we process Google user data, we will update this policy.

Security

We employ industry‑standard safeguards designed to protect data:

  • Encryption in transit and at rest (where applicable)

  • Access controls, least‑privilege permissions, and employee confidentiality commitments

  • Network and application monitoring and logging

  • Secure software development and vulnerability management practices

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we maintain and improve controls over time.

International data transfers

We may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers (e.g., standard contractual clauses) and ensure service providers offer adequate protection.

Children’s privacy

LSA Genius is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your data; to object to or restrict certain processing; and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact hello@franchise-seo.com. We will verify your request and respond as required by applicable law.

If you are a California resident, we do not “sell” or “share” personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect operational or legal changes. We will post the updated policy with a new “Last updated” date and, when required, provide additional notice. If changes materially affect how we handle Google user data, we will provide appropriate notice within the App.
